I’ve Got Questions

with Sinéad Bovell

Duration: 3 weeks
Role: End-to-end designer & developer
Tools: Figma, Squarespace, Photoshop

Overview

Sinéad Bovell is a recognized voice in the future of technology, known for making complex topics accessible to a wide audience. As she launched her new podcast — I’ve Got Questions — the goal was to create a digital home that reflects her authority in the tech space, while making it easy for visitors to discover episodes, learn about the show, and explore Sinéad’s work.

Over the course of three weeks, I designed and built the official podcast website from the ground up. The site needed to:

  • Communicate the show’s brand and mission clearly.

  • Provide a seamless way to access new episodes.

  • Introduce Sinéad Bovell as the trusted host and thought leader behind the podcast.

The result is a scalable, visually engaging, and user-friendly website that serves as the central hub for I’ve Got Questions.

Challenges

  • Introducing both the podcast and the host. The site needed to quickly explain what I’ve Got Questions is about while also positioning Sinéad Bovell as a credible voice in the tech space.

  • Promoting episodes across platforms. Visitors had to be able to find the latest episodes and access them on their preferred listening platform.

  • Encouraging listener engagement. A central goal was to give the audience a way to submit their own questions directly to the team, aligning with the show’s interactive nature.

  • Simplicity in navigation. The original idea was to create a single-page site for maximum clarity, but after exploration, we decided on a lightweight two-page structure: one for the show and one for the host. This gave the project space to grow while maintaining focus and ease of use.

  • Reflecting the show’s philosophy. Just as Sinéad turns complex tech topics into clear, relatable conversations, the site’s design had to embody accessibility and straightforward communication.

Status Quo

This was a true 0 → 1 project: there was no existing website for I’ve Got Questions. The podcast was preparing for its official launch, and the team needed a digital presence to match the energy and professionalism of the show.

Beyond these assets, the site structure, layout, and user experience were completely open. This gave me creative freedom — but also meant I had to define everything from information hierarchy to navigation flow and responsive behavior, while keeping within the 3-week timeline.

Design Process

1. Content & Structure

The project started with clarifying what the site needed to achieve: introduce the podcast, present Sinéad Bovell as the host, showcase episodes across platforms, and provide a way for listeners to submit questions.

I created a low-fidelity wireframe to map out the skeleton of the site and recorded a Loom walkthrough to align with the team before moving further.

2. Research & Inspiration

With the structure approved, I analyzed the references provided by the client and reviewed other podcast websites. This helped identify best practices around navigation, episode promotion, and user engagement, while ensuring we stayed true to Sinéad’s brand and vision.

3. Design & Iteration

Because of the short timeline, I went straight into high-fidelity wireframes. With the skeleton already validated, the focus was on visual design and content hierarchy.

We completed a few quick rounds of iteration to refine details. By the end of the first week, the design was approved, and I created a clickable prototype to showcase micro-interactions and overall flow.

4. Build & Launch

I built the site on Squarespace, customizing templates extensively to achieve the requested layout and styling. After the initial build, the team requested additional content and design adjustments, leading to further iterations. The final website was delivered on time for the podcast launch, balancing clarity, interactivity, and Sinéad’s brand message.

Final Results

Feedback

The website launch was met with great feedback from Sinéad Bovell and her team. They were impressed by how accurately the final result captured the tone and mission of I’ve Got Questions, as well as the speed and quality of delivery.

“We’re so happy with how the website turned out — it perfectly represents the show and what we stand for.”
— Sinéad Bovell & Team

The project was delivered in just two weeks, including both design and build, allowing the website to go live in time for the podcast’s official launch. The smooth process and final execution built strong trust with the team and helped set a professional foundation for the show’s online presence.

Reflection

This project was particularly meaningful to me as it was my first freelancing experience. Working with Sinéad Bovell and her team — a group so deeply involved in technology and the future — was both inspiring and motivating.

It pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, manage every aspect of the project independently, and deliver results under a tight timeline. Beyond refining my design and Squarespace development skills, I also gained valuable insight into the tech and podcasting industries.

I definitely felt the pressure of working with such a relevant and high-profile client, but that pressure quickly turned into drive. It reminded me how much I enjoy creating digital experiences that make information more accessible and engaging. Above all, I felt proud and grateful to be part of bringing I’ve Got Questions to life.
